 Overview

  • Fully configurable using sms text messaging though the mobile phone network.
  • The amount of data sent to the server can be set by the user to meet the requirements of the logging and data allowance.

Mode select switch: This is used to select static or live track operation
Power switch: Main power switch isolates all power
Fuse requirements: To provide maximum safety the tiso unit should have a 3 amp fuse in the plus rail red wire, 3 amp in the o volt rail black wire and 1 amp in the ignition input yellow wire
Electrical power requirements: 12volts to 40 volts dc
Battery voltage: 3.7 volts
Battery type: lithium ion
Duty cycle: Assuming that the internal battery is fully charged before the external power supply is removed the following duty cycle is expected :
24 hrs idling in live track mode and Bluetooth disabled
12 months idling in static mode

Internal Memory: Will store upto two weeks of data

Modem and SIM card: Uses a quad band modem and works with any network on any tariff type
GRPS Aerial:
External passive antenna type, supplied with a 1 meter length of cable
GPS Aerial: External passive antenna type, supplied with a 1 meter length of cable
Ignition input: Sends ignition on and off events back to the main server
DAT input: Digital to analogue input: this is a filtered input for use with passive infrared and motion detectors. Warnings are sent back to the server and optionally to a mobile phone
Normally closed input: Used with normally closed switches and anti tamper loops. sends a warning to the server and optionally to a mobile phone if opened
Warning set zero input: This disables DAT input and normally closed input for 30 seconds to allow for a timed exit prior to activating monitoring system
Alarm input: This connected to vehicles alarm output or can be connected to panic buttons warnings are sent back to the server pc
Uncommitted IO There are 3 uncommitted io used to provide additional customer specified functionality
Relay: A relay with 1 amp volt free contacts: Is used to enable the use of specialised immobiliser hardware and is activated by sms mobile phone
Axillary warning output: This is connected to the immobiliser relay and is triggered to 0 volt rail max current .5 amp used as immobiliser warning
Speed and mileage: Speed and mileage data is sent back to the server to allow for vehicle maintenance and speed monitoring
